Bowlerite is the name given to the material derived from the coverstock (outer skin) vintage Tenpin bowling balls. There are two types of material in general use, polyurethane or ‘urethane’ and polyester or ‘plastic’. We use the polyester variety for our jewellery as it is transparent to translucent and also exhibits chatoyancy a quality displayed by many natural gemstones.
