Antique Whitby Jet Bracelet “Rose”

This is a pretty, antique Victorian Whitby Jet bracelet with a decorative centre panel containing a carved rose. Another example of the the victorian fascination with “Floriography’, in this case the symbol for love.

The bracelet is threaded on elastic so making it comfortable for a small to medium wrist size. with the side panels  slightly graduated in size, smaller ones towards the back of the piece. The decorative carved top piece measures approx 30mm x 25mm across its widest points.
