Hilda Missed a Couple Drop Earrings

In the C7th Saint Hilda had an incident with some serpents. She had no option but to chop off their heads and cast them to stone, a little bit like Medusa perhaps? Anyway we still make Whitby jet snakey items today by way of thanks to Hilda. These sterling silver beauties have a drop of  60mm from the top of the continental style ear wire to the tip of the tail. The Whitby jet cabochon measures 7mm in diameter.
