Antique Whitby Jet cameo “lady with grapes”

A spectacularly huge example of Victorian stone engraving at it’s finest. A classic subject of a fine lady with an elaborate hair-do. possibly grapes or beads in the tresses add’s to the impact of this piece. The original base metal catch is in good working order. It measures 60x52mm.
