A bloom of great importance in Victorian symbolism, the Chrysanthemum symbolises good spirits, including cheering up a sad person, rest and recovery after a long trial or challenge and enduring life and rebirth, especially the birth of a child. Measuring 55x40mm the cameo is of considerable proportions. It is suspended from a 21.5″ Whitby Jet linked chain. The chain is in excellent condition despite its 150+ age.
